After School STEAM Clubs ~ 2024-2025 School Year

Offering enrichment opportunities after school from 2:35 to 4:00.

Club sessions span the school year. Students will explore science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) through activities involving: Newton's Laws of Motion, electronics, circuitry, collaboration to design solutions to STEAM challenges, exploration of the engineering design process while learning about and creating solutions to real-world challenges, and learning the basics of coding and robotics.

STEAM Club Session 3: March 2025 - May 2025

Learn about and simulate explorations by NASA’s Mars Rover, Perseverance. Explore the possibilities of life on Mars and experience what engineering vehicles for another planet is like. During this session we will build flying saucers, Mars helicopters, rovers and rockets, code robots on a mission to gather information about the red planet, and view footage from NASA’s Mars Rover. I have 14 years teaching experience and a passion for STEAM. Exploring STEAM concepts with students is something I always worked to incorporate into aspects of teaching when I worked for Jefferson County Public Schools as a learning specialist, classroom teacher, instructional coach and technology lead.
